The BIOMAT Consortium \/ International Institute for Interdisciplinary Mathematical and Biological Sciences, a non-profit association of members of Universities and Research Institutions in five continents, has created interdisciplinary conferences since the year 2001. These BIOMAT Symposia – BIOMAT International Symposia on Interdisciplinary Mathematical and Biological Sciences – are adequate for creating opportunities to assemble together professionals from several fields, from applied mathematicians and theoretical physicists to biologists, biochemists, experts on computing as well as research engineers and physicians. The only link which is supposed to exist among them is the scientific interest on topics of the interface between Mathematical and Biological Sciences.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

BIOMAT Consortium – Extended and Updated Version<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The BIOMAT Consortium \u2013 International Institute for Interdisciplinary Mathematical and Biological Sciences \u2013 I\u00b3MBS, is a non-profit international scientific association composed of professionals, postdoctoral fellows, doctoral students, and researchers working at the interface between Interdisciplinary Mathematical and Biological Sciences. The BIOMAT Consortium organized 25 international conferences annually from 2001 to 2025. The book BIOMAT 2025, from the Trends in Biomathematics collection, published by Springer International Publishing, Springer Nature, Cham, Switzerland, will be released with a summary of the history of the BIOMAT Consortium, containing the main facts from these 25 conferences. Following BIOMAT tradition since its founding in 2001, we do not have parallel sessions. Sessions with Keynote Speakers will last 50 minutes, plus 10 minutes for questions and comments, and sessions with contributed paper presentations will last 25 minutes, plus five minutes for questions and comments. We usually have ten to twelve sessions per day, during the five days, and a maximum of 60 to 80 in-person speakers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All papers accepted through a peer-review process conducted by the Editorial Board of the BIOMAT Consortium and other international reviewers abroad will be published as indexed chapters, with independent DOI link numbers, in a volume of the Trends in Biomathematics Collection from Springer International Publishing, Springer Nature, Cham, Switzerland.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Pearce was an exemplary scientist in his many contributions to the interdisciplinary mathematical and biological sciences. A tribute to him was published in the opening pages of the book BIOMAT 2011, published by World Scientific Co. Pte. Ltd. On behalf of the BIOMAT Consortium, we would be grateful if a fellow scientist could be nominated in the current year 2026 as the Representative from Oceania on the Board of Directors.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
